If you thought the Flare 2.0 needed more RAM, don’t think Cherry Mobile hasn’t been thinking the same thing. Just recently, the local brand has been teasing the Cherry Mobile Flare 2.1 on its Facebook page, and the Cherry Mobile SM North EDSA branch even has it on sale right this moment!
The Flare 2.1 is essentially the Flare 2.0 with 1GB RAM. So the internals are all the same from its predecessor. It’s still the same 1.2GHz quad core Qualcomm MSM8225Q, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, and 4GB internal storage. You’re also getting the same dual camera setup (5mp rear, VGA front).
The most exciting part is that despite the spec bump, the Cherry Mobile Flare 2.1 will still retail for Php3,999! Looking to grab one? The Flare 2.1 is only available at the SM North EDSA branch at the moment, but it shouldn’t take long for it to start rolling out to more kiosks and concept stores nationwide.
